This compact, trendy-looking camera packs a punch with 16.0 effective megapixels that’s now optimised with an outstanding 30x optical zoom (25mm - 750mm equivalent in 35mm format) and 60x Dynamic Fine Zoom*1 (approximately 1500mm equivalent in 35mm format). This allows you to zoom in with greater precision so you can take beautifully sharp images no matter how far you are. These revolutionary optics are complemented with the EXPEED C2 image-processing engine, ensuring your images will shine with richer colours. High-speed autofocus (AF) and Target-Finding AF also track fast-moving subjects swiftly, so you can capture decisive moments such as the winning goal at a football game with ease. Your shots will also look exceptionally sharp, thanks to Vibration Reduction (VR) that minimises blur caused by camera shake. With the S9900, you can finally capture pictures that will be truly cherished for many years to come.
Just a touch of a button and you can switch on Wi-Fi® to instantly connect your camera to your smart device via the Wireless Mobile Utility app*3, available for both iOS and Android devices. It also comes with NFC*1 capabilities so you can turn your smart device into a shutter button, allowing you to take group pictures that include you. You can even pre-select and transfer images to your smart device. Accurately geo-tag your pictures with the built-in GPS, GLONASS, and QZSS options and take advantage of other unique features such as a world map that allows you to save up to 30 shooting locations, as well as an electronic compass.
TURN TO ACCESS MORE FUNCTIONS
Operate the camera with a simple turn or two with the S9900’s Command Dial. The dial provides quick access to Program, Shutter, Aperture, and Manual modes, which lets you adjust your camera settings such as aperture and shutter speed. It also allows you to zoom in and out, view images, during movie playback. No more scrolling through numerous menus - just turn and go.
High or low, tilted or straight-on, you can now shoot from a wide variety of angles with the S9900’s 7.62cm (3") vari-angle LCD monitor. It also comes with RGBW alignment, a system that ensures clear visibility of your images, even under direct sunlight. This is further enhanced with anti-reflection coating, brightness adjustment, and Clear Colour Display on the screen.
